Zurich’s Lila Festival Celebrates 10 Years With Three Days of LGBT Culture

Zurich is preparing for three days of LGBT culture as Lila Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary at Rote Fabrik from 10 to 12 September 2026. The waterfront venue on Lake Zurich will host a packed programme of concerts, DJ sets, performances and other events across the anniversary weekend.

The festival has grown into an established part of Zurich’s LGBT calendar over the past decade. Its 2026 edition brings another international programme to the city while giving visitors plenty of time to explore Zurich between events.

Three days at Rote Fabrik

Rote Fabrik sits on the western shore of Lake Zurich and has long been one of the city’s best known cultural venues. The former factory complex now hosts concerts, theatre, exhibitions and nightlife, with Lila taking over the site for its three day anniversary celebration.

The festival’s official programme includes live music, DJ sets and performances, with further events and artist information being released through its website and social channels. Tickets for the 2026 festival are already available through the organisers.

Where to stay

Visitors wanting easy access to both the festival and Zurich’s LGBT nightlife can consider staying around the Old Town, Niederdorf or central Zurich. These areas offer a wide range of hotels while keeping restaurants, bars and public transport close by.

Getting there

Zurich Airport has frequent rail connections directly into the city centre, with journeys to Zurich Hauptbahnhof taking around 10 to 15 minutes. From there, trams, buses and trains provide easy connections across the city and towards Rote Fabrik.

Zurich is also well connected by rail with other Swiss cities and neighbouring European countries. That makes it possible to combine the festival with a longer Switzerland break or add Zurich to a wider European trip.
