Emmerdale Fans Suspect Thea Has Help as Baby Tate Kidnapping Theories Grow

Emmerdale viewers are convinced there is more to baby Tate's kidnapping than meets the eye, with several fans suggesting the person responsible may not be acting alone.

Thea has attracted considerable suspicion, but Joe, Serena and Robert have also been mentioned as viewers examine the clues from the latest episodes.

Sunday's episode saw Graham reveal that the baby had been taken from his cottage, with a warning instructing the family not to contact the police.

Kim subsequently turned to Thea for help, unaware of just how complicated their relationship has become.

Thea might have an accomplice

One viewer questioned whether Thea had personally taken the baby, suggesting she could instead be working with Joe.

"I still don't think it's Thea 😭 I think she has told Joe and he's pretending to be in Monaco 😂"

The theory is particularly interesting because Joe has apparently left the country, although viewers have questioned whether his departure is genuine.

Another fan was much more convinced of Thea's involvement, believing she has somebody helping her.

"Thea is behind Baby Tate being kidnapped but she isn’t working alone, she’s always turning up randomly and looking all concerned, Kim shouldn’t trust Thea at all, she’s using an innocent child in such a horrible way, she talks about children shouldn’t be pawns, but she’s using Joe & Dawns baby as a pawn."

The show how differently viewers are interpreting Thea's behaviour, some believe she is directly responsible, others suspect she may be manipulating somebody else into carrying out her plans.

Serena and Robert enter the discussion

Serena has also attracted attention, particularly because she knows about Thea's connection to Kim and has previously been involved in her plans.

One viewer thought they recognised Serena's voice during a telephone conversation and questioned whether she could be working with Robert.

"I did think it sounded like Serena's voice on the phone, and they did say "we" a lot ... I still kind of think it's Robert, so Serena would make sense working with him."

The same contributor also considered whether Serena might be helping Thea instead, although they wondered whether that explanation would be too obvious.

Kim is running out of options

The kidnapping has left Kim facing a particularly difficult situation because involving the police could place the baby at further risk.

Her decision to seek help from Thea has created another complication, especially given Thea's undisclosed connection to the family.

With several suspects attracting attention, the possibility of an accomplice has become one of the more interesting theories circulating among viewers.

Whether Thea is involved or simply another person caught up in the mystery, the family's search for the baby is far from straightforward.

Emmerdale continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
