Hollyoaks spoilers 24–26 August: Rex mystery deepens as Leah investigates

Rex’s death continues to cast a shadow over Hollyoaks from 24–26 August as Ste turns to Leah for help investigating James. While Leah begins searching for answers, James is trying to regain Ste’s trust and Ro prepares to remember his late friend.

Ste asks Leah to investigate James

Ste wants answers about Rex’s murder and asks Leah to look into James’ possible involvement. Leah takes on the task and begins carrying out research into Rex’s killer.

At the same time, James is trying to move in the opposite direction by rebuilding his relationship with Ste. He asks Beth to help him win back Ste’s trust before later arriving with flowers.

Ro holds a memorial for Rex

The impact of Rex’s death is also felt by Ro, who holds a memorial for his late friend. His tribute comes as the questions surrounding Rex’s murder remain unresolved.

James also forms an unlikely new friendship with Jonah. With his relationship with Ste already under pressure, James finds himself pulled into several different connections.

Donny discovers what Vicky is going through

Away from the murder mystery, Donny discovers Vicky’s eating disorder. He responds by deciding to take action after learning what she has been dealing with.

The storyline brings a difficult personal issue into the open for Vicky and Donny. Their situation unfolds alongside several other family dramas in the village.

Tony is furious over Maddox and Dee Dee

Tony kicks off after discovering that Maddox and Dee Dee have had sex. His reaction brings another confrontation into an already eventful few days.

Elsewhere, Mercedes makes over her children’s old clothes so she can resell them. Cindy also meets Martin’s son Xander as she attempts to find out why she was set up.
