Coronation Street Missing From ITV Schedule on Friday 6 November
Coronation Street will be missing from ITV1 on Friday 6 November 2026 due to Nations Championship rugby. Find out why the schedule is changing.
Coronation Street fans will notice a gap in ITV1's evening schedule on Friday 6 November 2026, with the Weatherfield soap making way for live international rugby.
The programme normally airs at 8.30pm as part of ITV's weekday soap hour, immediately after Emmerdale. However, the Nations Championship is taking priority on this occasion, leaving viewers without their usual Friday instalment.
What Is Replacing Coronation Street?
Ireland will face Argentina at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, with kick-off scheduled for 8.10pm. The international fixture is part of the Nations Championship, which sees teams from the northern and southern hemispheres compete across a series of matches.
The match will occupy the period normally reserved for Coronation Street, with Emmerdale also affected by the change.
ITV introduced its new weekday soap schedule in January 2026, placing Coronation Street at 8.30pm from Monday to Friday. Previously, the programme had traditionally occupied longer slots on selected evenings.
When Is Coronation Street Back?
The schedule interruption is currently centred on Friday 6 November, with the soap's normal weekday slot expected to resume on Monday 9 November.
ITV will also be showing further Nations Championship rugby during November, although viewers should check the latest television listings before assuming any additional episodes will be affected.
Coronation Street normally airs on ITV1 at 8.30pm, Monday to Friday, with episodes also available to watch through ITVX.
