High Tides has introduced viewers to Clara and Valerie with a quiet first chapter set beside the water. Episode 1/3 was released on 21 August 2026 and has already attracted 11,292 views on YouTube.
The opening moments are largely carried by music, sunlight and coastal scenery. Valerie is spending the evening with Gabby, who suggests that they take a boat tour the following day.
Before leaving, the pair approach a woman nearby and ask if she would mind taking their photograph. She agrees, while Gabby calls Valerie closer so they can pose together.
The exchange lasts only a few moments. Valerie thanks the stranger and jokingly calls her their official photographer as they say goodnight, without either woman properly introducing herself.
Their paths cross again the next morning when Valerie arrives late for the boat trip. She apologises and explains that the waves were too good, causing her to lose track of time while surfing.
Leo calls Valerie over and assures her that she will always have a place with the group. Once aboard, she immediately recognises the photographer from the previous night.
This time, the women finally exchange names. Valerie introduces herself and says she can be called Val, while the stranger reveals that her name is Clara.
