Coronation Street spoilers: Kit’s cancer news and Jodie’s dangerous game
Kit receives devastating cancer news while Jodie gains new ammunition and Shona faces more family trouble in Coronation Street this week and next.
Coronation Street is about to turn up the pressure, with episodes this coming week from 7 September followed by the first hints of what is waiting next week from 13 September 2026. Here is a snapshot of the biggest Weatherfield stories, from Kit’s frightening diagnosis to Jodie becoming an even bigger problem for Shona.
This week sees Kit discover that he has stage-three breast cancer which has reached his lymph nodes. His private life is also surrounded by questions when somebody is seen leaving his bedroom, while Bernie begins to sense that all is not right with her son. Kit later tells Todd about his upcoming CT scan, and Todd urges him to let his family know what he is facing.
Debbie is also at the centre of an emotional family gathering as she celebrates her birthday. She tells those around her what their support has meant and makes a particularly heartfelt declaration about Ronnie.
But much of the danger this week comes from Jodie. After Kit rejects her, she enters Sarah’s flat and hears something that leaves her stunned. That discovery soon gives her something to use against Bethany, while she also arranges to see Sarah in prison.
Coming up also, Doug suddenly arrives before Bethany can confront the situation. He later witnesses Jodie acting as though she is Shona and is disturbed by her behaviour towards David, while Shona is stunned to see her father again.
Elsewhere, Dylan opens up to Betsy about his guilt, Sally finds a fashion course she thinks could suit Betsy, Lucy decides against attending her mother’s funeral and Shanice is given more independence. Betsy then has a frightening health scare while Bethany is doing her nails.
And next week looks no quieter. Jodie once again sets her sights on Shona, Ross is furious with Tyrone and Summer crosses paths with a mysterious new man at Roy’s Rolls. Bethany finally gets some welcome news, while Bernie remains hopeful without knowing the full picture.
