Coronation Street Spoilers 30 August–4 September: Celeste Dies as Debbie Struggles

Coronation Street has an emotional week ahead from Sunday 30th August to Friday 4th September, with Celeste’s death bringing the family together, Debbie showing more worrying signs of confusion and Nina saying goodbye to Weatherfield.

Nina prepares to leave the cobbles as she says goodbye to her friends before heading to Whitby with Roy.

Elsewhere, tensions remain high between Todd and Celeste, with the pair clashing before Todd storms out.

Things take a devastating turn when Gemma shares the awful news about Celeste with Kit and tells him the truth about their family connection.

Todd later arrives at the hotel intending to visit Celeste, only for Ryan to reveal that she has died.

Todd, Bernie, Kit, Gemma, Chesney, Joseph, Dev, George, Christina and Asha later gather in the hotel bar for Celeste’s remembrance party.

During the emotional gathering, Todd reads out a message left by Celeste.

Debbie’s condition also causes increasing concern. Ronnie offers to handle a supplier meeting, but as Debbie prepares to leave he gently reminds her that she has forgotten to put on her shoes.

At the hotel, Ronnie points out that she is still wearing her slippers, leaving a confused Debbie staring down at her feet before suggesting they should go home.

Later, Maria returns to the salon to find Debbie giving Bethany a full eighties makeover.

Bethany plays along until Debbie picks up the scissors, prompting Maria to step in. Debbie looks at the scissors in confusion before rushing out.

Ronnie also finds himself in trouble after eyeing up Idris’ car and telling Carl that he is considering stealing it for Fiona because he owes her over the missing gun.

Idris later accuses Ronnie of taking the car and punches him to the ground, while Carl urges Ronnie not to seek revenge because Debbie needs calm around her.

Elsewhere, Jodie is seen litter picking before becoming involved in more tension with Bethany.

Bethany is enjoying what appears to be a successful second date with Roman at the Bistro until Jodie arrives with Kit.

Bethany’s mood quickly changes as she points out that her mum is in prison and only broke up with Kit a few weeks earlier.

When Jodie begins flirting with Kit, Bethany loses her temper.

Lauren encourages Ollie to visit Betsy and take some of his cake with them, although Betsy’s reaction remains uncertain.

Lauren later takes charge and insists on taking Betsy out for lunch.

At the Bistro, Betsy knocks some cutlery from the table and Lauren quickly helps her, but Debbie joking that she is drunk leaves Betsy mortified.

The week also brings a frightening moment for Shona.

After calling David about her nightmare day, she suddenly realises she has left Harper in the car.

Shona races outside in panic and finds Daniel cradling Harper, before Jodie orders her to get some sleep.
