Coronation Street spoilers 30 Aug–4 Sep 2026: Kit date drama
Jodie’s pursuit of Kit sparks trouble with Bethany and Shona as Celeste dies, Nina exits and Debbie’s dementia causes increasing concern.
Jodie wastes little time creating tension when her interest in Kit begins causing problems with both Bethany and Shona.
After Bethany puts her in her place, Jodie asks Sarah’s ex Kit on a date. The pair go out, prompting Bethany to intervene, but Jodie refuses to back down.
With Shona already worried about baby Harper’s mystery rash, she warns Kit away from her sister, while Jodie secretly invites him over.
Elsewhere, Celeste dies after her health deteriorates during an encounter with Gemma. Gemma breaks the news to Bernie, but Celeste also leaves behind a devastating family secret.
Ryan has to tell Todd what has happened, before Todd discovers Celeste requested a shindig rather than a funeral. The gathering ultimately erupts into a family row.
Nina prepares to leave Weatherfield for a new job in Whitby, enjoying farewell drinks with Asha, Amy and Summer before saying an emotional goodbye to Abi in Seb’s memorial garden.
Betsy becomes annoyed when Lauren spends a visit texting Ollie, but later celebrates standing for the first time since her stroke.
Debbie’s confusion causes further concern, while Ronnie’s plan to steal Idris’ car for Fiona ends with Idris punching him. Kirk also tells Maggie and Brian they have become factory gossip.
