Celeste’s health fails during an uncomfortable encounter with Gemma before Gemma tells Bernie that she has died. Her devastating family revelation leaves everyone reeling, with Ryan forced to break news to Todd.
Todd later discovers Celeste wanted a shindig instead of a funeral, but the gathering ends in a family dispute.
Nina prepares for a fresh start in Whitby. After drinks with Asha, Amy and Summer, she shares an emotional moment with Abi in Seb’s memorial garden before leaving Weatherfield.
Betsy also takes a major step forward by standing for the first time since her stroke. Lauren puts her foot in it, having already irritated Betsy by constantly texting Ollie during an earlier visit.
Debbie causes concern after wearing slippers to the hotel and later nearly cutting Bethany’s hair during an Eighties makeover before Maria intervenes. Ronnie subsequently suggests scaling back Debbie’s birthday.
Meanwhile, Ronnie considers stealing Idris’ car for gangster Fiona over his missing-gun debt, but Idris punches him after accusing him of theft.
Jodie clashes with Bethany and dates Sarah’s ex Kit before secretly inviting him over despite Shona’s warning. Shona is also concerned about baby Harper’s mystery rash, while Kirk tells Maggie and Brian they have become factory gossip.
