Remember Hollyoaks Jude Cunningham? Davinia Taylor Is Returning to Channel 4 With a Surprising New Show

Hollyoaks viewers who remember Jude Cunningham will soon see a familiar face back on Channel 4, although Davinia Taylor’s latest television project is very different from her days in Chester.

The actress, author and wellbeing advocate is presenting The Hormone Fix, a new documentary examining how hormones influence physical and emotional health.

Channel 4 announced the commission on 4 November, confirming that the one-hour programme will air in 2027.

Who Did Davinia Taylor Play in Hollyoaks?

Davinia played Jude Cunningham, a member of one of Hollyoaks’ original families.

The character appeared during the soap’s early years, helping establish the Cunningham family as one of the programme’s central households.

For viewers who followed Hollyoaks during the 1990s, Jude remains a recognisable character from the show’s formative period.

Since leaving the soap, Davinia has developed a career that includes writing, television appearances and wellbeing advocacy.

Her latest Channel 4 project brings those interests together in a new factual programme.

What Is The Hormone Fix About?

The documentary will explore how hormones can affect sleep, stress, mood, appetite and energy levels.

Davinia will meet medical experts and people sharing their experiences, investigating the relationship between hormonal health and everyday wellbeing.

She has questioned why symptoms such as exhaustion, stress and difficulty concentrating are sometimes accepted as an inevitable part of getting older.

The programme will examine those questions while exploring scientific research and approaches to managing hormonal health.

Channel 4 has also acknowledged that conflicting advice can make the subject difficult to understand, particularly for people trying to distinguish reliable information from wellness trends.

Who Is Behind the New Documentary?

The Hormone Fix is being produced by Welsh company Little Bird Films.

Ellie Merz is directing and producing the documentary, with Tammy Kennedy and Catherine Welton serving as executive producers. Jane Philips is also producing.

The programme has been commissioned as a standalone 60-minute special.

Although it will examine emerging approaches to wellbeing, viewers should distinguish established medical evidence from techniques that are still being researched.

When Will Davinia Taylor Return to Channel 4?

Channel 4 has confirmed that The Hormone Fix will air in 2027, but an exact broadcast date has not yet been announced.

Further information about the programme and its contributors will be released closer to transmission.

For Hollyoaks viewers, it offers an opportunity to see a familiar former cast member exploring a subject that has become central to her work beyond acting.
