Prague Pride 2027 Travel Guide With Dates, Where to Stay and LGBT Nightlife

Prague Pride returns from 2 to 8 August 2027, making it an ideal excuse to turn one of Europe’s biggest LGBT celebrations into a summer city break. The main Pride parade takes place on Saturday 7 August 2027, while events will run across the Czech capital throughout the week.

The festival has grown into a major international event. Organisers say 95,000 people attended the week-long Prague Pride Festival in 2026, giving anyone planning to visit in 2027 a good reason to think about accommodation well before the main weekend.

Prague Pride is much more than its Saturday parade. Previous festivals have featured music, parties, film, theatre, exhibitions, workshops, discussions and community events spread across numerous locations, so staying for several days gives visitors much more of the Pride experience.

How to get to Prague Pride from the UK

Direct flights to Prague make it an easy European city break from the UK. Flights arrive at Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) with public transport connecting the airport to the city’s metro network.

Once in Prague, the city’s metro and extensive tram network make getting between the historic centre, LGBT nightlife areas and festival locations relatively straightforward. Travellers arriving from elsewhere in Europe can also consider international rail connections into the city.

Where to stay for Prague Pride

Vinohrady is one of the most useful areas to consider if LGBT nightlife is a priority. Prague’s official tourism organisation identifies it as home to several queer venues, while it remains well connected to the historic centre by metro and tram.

Alternatively, staying in Staré Město, the Old Town, puts Prague’s biggest sightseeing attractions within easy reach and still leaves visitors close to LGBT bars and clubs. Accommodation around the centre is likely to be particularly popular during Pride weekend, so booking earlier should provide a wider choice.

LGBT bars and nightlife in Prague

Prague has an established LGBT nightlife scene that continues throughout the year, rather than appearing only during Pride week. The city’s official tourism guide lists numerous queer bars, cafés and clubs across Prague.

Vinohrady is home to venues including Club Termix and Saints Bar, while Friends Club can be found in the Old Town. Other LGBT and LGBT-friendly venues are spread across districts including Nové Město, Žižkov and Vršovice.

Individual venues are likely to announce their own Pride parties much closer to August 2027, so travellers should check current opening hours and event schedules before visiting.

Turn Prague Pride into a longer city break

Pride is only part of the reason to visit Prague. The city’s Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and riverside make it easy to combine festival events with sightseeing, restaurants and nightlife.

Travellers staying longer can also explore beyond the busiest tourist streets. Vinohrady offers cafés, restaurants and parks alongside its LGBT venues, while neighbouring Žižkov provides another alternative for visitors wanting to experience more of Prague away from the historic centre.

With a full week of Pride events and 95,000 festival visitors recorded in 2026, Prague Pride has become an event worth building an entire European break around. The dates are already confirmed, leaving travellers plenty of time to start planning for August 2027 while waiting for the full festival programme to be revealed.
