LGBTQ+ Business Reports Raising More Than £75,000 for Charitable Causes

A British LGBTQ+ business has raised more than £75,000 for charitable causes through fundraising collections, community partnerships and support for organisations working with LGBTQ+ people.

Pinkswag, a merchandise company based in Peacehaven, East Sussex, has published figures showing more than 1,100 hours of donated charity work alongside its fundraising activities.

The figures cover the company’s charitable work over time rather than a single campaign, with partnerships involving organisations supporting transgender adults, LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport and community services.

How the fundraising supports transgender adults

One of the company’s charity partnerships is with Not A Phase, which supports transgender and gender-diverse adults across the UK.

The collaboration includes a Protect the Dolls fundraising collection, with Pinkswag stating that 100% of the profits from the designated products are donated to the charity.

Not A Phase provides opportunities for trans adults to connect through peer support, social activities and fitness programmes, helping people access community spaces and build confidence.

The partnership is one example of how a commercial business can use its existing production facilities and audience to support charitable organisations.
