EastEnders’ Sean returns for Amy as the family turns on Max
Sean and Jack search for Amy in EastEnders, but Max’s role in releasing her inheritance creates a family dispute while Craig’s abuse escalates.
Coming up on EastEnders, Sean returns to find his niece Amy missing with Craig. He and Jack have an urgent reason to work together, although concern for her does not erase the difficult relationships within the family.
Amy is Jack’s daughter with Sean’s late sister Roxy, giving both men a deeply personal connection to the search. Sean’s history with Jack has often been complicated, but finding Amy safely gives them a shared priority.
Craig has groomed Amy and encouraged her to leave Walford with him. Away from the people who could challenge his influence, she is increasingly isolated and nervous about his behaviour.
The family’s search becomes tangled in a disagreement about money when Sean and Jack argue over Max giving Amy early access to her inheritance. They then confront Max, bringing Jack’s brother into another dispute while Amy remains missing.
Lily provides a more practical development when she discovers that Amy used her daughter Charli’s tablet to open an online bank account. The information is passed to police, offering something concrete beyond the arguments about who should have acted differently.
Meanwhile, Craig has plans for them to stay abroad. When he discovers that Amy’s bank account has been frozen, he becomes violent and hits her.
His reaction makes the danger of his control explicit. Amy’s access to money has become part of the situation keeping her away from home, while the loss of that access triggers further abuse.
Sean suggests that Denise record a video pleading with Amy to return. With Jack’s family struggling to reach her, the hope is that a familiar voice can get through where Craig’s influence has kept them out.
