It Gets Worse on Channel 4: Andrew Scott's viral therapist scene, the cast and where to watch
Leo Reich's A24 comedy It Gets Worse has arrived on Channel 4, complete with the Andrew Scott therapy scene that had viewers talking long before launch. Here is who is in it, what it is about and where to watch.
Leo Reich’s long-awaited six-part comedy series It Gets Worse has arrived on Channel 4, carrying plenty of viral buzz driven by a provocative guest appearance from Andrew Scott.
Created by and starring Reich, the show follows twenty-somethings Ethan, Abi (Emily Fairn), and Sam (Olive Gray) as they navigate life in a cramped, dysfunctional London flat.
When their landlord decides to sell up and force an eviction, the trio plan a disastrous final night out that kicks off a season of awkward comedy and spiralling tension. Produced by A24 and Canadian streamer Crave, the series is directed by Mounia Akl with narration provided by novelist Zadie Smith.
Alongside the central trio, the comedy features a packed supporting cast including Lena Dunham, Vicki Pepperdine, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Blake Harrison, and Gary Beadle. However, it is Andrew Scott's turn as a therapist whose session with Ethan takes a wildly unconventional, viral-ready turn that has captured the internet's attention.
Viewers in the UK can watch and stream the series on Channel 4, while Canadian audiences can find it on Crave ahead of its upcoming premiere on Paramount+ in the US.
