Home and Away theory: Will Sonny finally expose Beau to the police?

Beau has quickly become one of Summer Bay’s most unpredictable residents, and his latest actions could eventually leave Sonny with an impossible decision.

After initially approaching Sonny with a plan to make easy money through stolen credit cards, Beau’s behaviour takes a much darker turn. When Sonny admits he has stolen Remi’s credit card to buy steroids, Beau reacts with anger before punching him in the face.

At first, it appears Beau is furious because Sonny’s actions could expose his own steroid business.

However, the situation becomes even more alarming when Beau later changes his mind completely. Rather than distancing himself from Sonny, he decides to use him instead, forcing him to sell steroids on his behalf.

Sonny is no longer making reckless decisions on his own. Instead, he finds himself trapped in a situation where Beau holds all the cards, leaving him under pressure to carry out criminal activity he clearly feels uncomfortable about.

Although Sonny has made poor choices, he has repeatedly shown flashes of conscience. He initially tries to get rid of the steroids before eventually approaching Viv, suggesting he knows exactly how dangerous the situation has become.

If Beau continues piling pressure on Sonny, there may come a point where reporting everything to the police becomes the only realistic way out. Doing so would not only expose Beau’s drug dealing, but also protect others who could become caught up in his criminal behaviour.

At the moment, she has no idea Beau has assaulted Sonny or pushed him into dealing steroids. If Sonny discovers Harper is becoming even more emotionally invested in Beau, he may decide that telling the truth is the only way to stop her getting hurt.

Sonny would almost certainly have to admit his own involvement in the crimes, making any confession incredibly difficult. Fear of the consequences could easily keep him silent, particularly if Beau continues intimidating him.

For now, there is nothing to suggest Sonny is about to report Beau.

However, with Beau becoming increasingly dangerous and Sonny looking more uncomfortable by the day, many viewers may be wondering whether exposing him could eventually become Sonny’s only escape.
