Home and Away spoilers for 19–23 October: Six moments putting Summer Bay under pressure

Eden's anniversary, Abigail's secret, Marilyn's letter, Tane's plans and Lacey's grief feature in six key Home and Away developments.

1. Cash plans a future with Eden

Eden asks Remi to help organise her first wedding anniversary with Cash, with Levi and Mackenzie joining the plans. Although Levi spoils the surprise, Cash is delighted and gives Eden tickets for an around-the-world trip they can plan when her health improves. Eden also acknowledges Mackenzie and Levi's grief over their baby's death.

2. Eden discovers two family secrets

Richie reveals that he has reunited with Abigail, leaving Eden furious that her sister kept the relationship secret. Eden then discovers that Levi has an upcoming operation which he and Mackenzie concealed to protect her. Levi considers postponing it, while Eden later accuses Mackenzie of trying to replace her.

3. Abigail and Richie face the consequences

Abigail struggles to tell Cash and Eden about the reunion, and Remi questions her decision. Richie eventually tells the couple himself, but Cash asks him to leave. Abigail feels guilty, while Levi and Mackenzie begin to question whether they can keep helping to hide the relationship.

4. Marilyn receives Zane's letter

Mali visits Zane in prison and learns that he is doing reasonably well and working in the library. Zane gives Mali a letter for Marilyn, but Alf initially keeps it from her because she has been feeling positive. Marilyn eventually receives the message: Zane thanks her but says he believes prison is where he belongs, will not write again and hopes she can move on.

5. Tane looks for another way to see Archie

An emergency road closure disrupts Tane's plans to visit Archie. John shares a Navy story that inspires him to seek another way. John also checks with Cash about the anniversary, while Cash worries about putting pressure on Eden. Remi discusses an online support-group diet with Eden, including Melanie's experience of living years longer than doctors expected with the same condition.

6. Lacey considers a future after Theo

Jo returns early from specialist training and arranges a family lunch to welcome Amelia. Lacey is uncomfortable about David's relationship, but Amelia rescues the meal after Lacey burns the dessert. David later thanks Lacey for giving Amelia a chance, and Lacey asks how he knew he was ready to move forward. David says he never doubted his feelings, while Lacey hopes she can one day love someone as deeply as she loved Theo.

Elsewhere, Leah and Justin disagree over Richie staying with them, and Richie declines John's offer to join surf lifesaving because he needs paid work. Sonny checks in with Lacey and sends condolences to Justin as the anniversary of Theo's death approaches. Leah and Justin visit Theo's grave, while Alf and Marilyn support Leah.
