Home and Away spoilers for 19–23 October: Eden's crisis and Marilyn's heartbreak

Eden's anniversary takes a painful turn

Eden Fowler arranges a first wedding anniversary celebration with help from Remi Carter, Levi Fowler and Mackenzie Booth. Cash Newman is delighted and gives Eden tickets for a future trip around the world. The mood changes when Richie reveals that he has reunited with Abigail, leaving Eden furious that her sister has kept the relationship secret.

Eden then discovers that Levi has an upcoming operation which he and Mackenzie concealed to protect her. She insists she should not be treated like a child, while Levi considers postponing the operation. Eden later accuses Mackenzie of trying to replace her after Mackenzie gives Abigail relationship advice.

Marilyn receives Zane's message

Mali Hudson visits Zane in prison and discovers that he is doing reasonably well and working in the library. Zane gives Mali a letter for Marilyn, but Mali is unsure whether to deliver it. Tane advises against passing it on, and Alf Stewart initially withholds it because Marilyn has been feeling positive.

Alf eventually gives Marilyn the letter. Zane thanks her for her help but says he believes prison is where he belongs, will not write again and hopes she can move on.

Tane searches for another way to see Archie

Tane's plans to visit Archie are blocked by an emergency road closure. John Palmer shares a Navy story that inspires him to look for another route. John also asks about Cash and Eden's anniversary, while Cash initially worries that a big celebration could put pressure on Eden.

Remi discusses a diet found through an online support group with Eden, including Melanie's experience of living years longer than doctors expected with the same condition.

Lacey faces life after Theo

Jo Langham returns early from specialist training and arranges a family lunch to welcome Amelia. Lacey is uncomfortable about David's relationship, but Amelia rescues the meal after Lacey burns the dessert. David later thanks Lacey for giving Amelia a chance.

Lacey asks David how he knew he was ready to move forward after loss. He says he never doubted his feelings for Amelia, while Lacey hopes she can one day love someone as deeply as she loved Theo. Sonny Baldwin checks in with Lacey, and Leah and Justin visit Theo's grave.

Richie creates tension at home

Leah Patterson offers Richie and Abigail a place to stay while Richie gets back on his feet, but Justin Morgan objects because Leah did not consult him. Richie turns down John's offer to join surf lifesaving because he needs paid work. As the anniversary of Theo's death affects the family, Sonny encourages Justin to be patient, while Alf and Marilyn support Leah.
