Home and Away spoilers 12 to 16 October 2026 test love and loyalty

Love and loyalty are tested throughout Summer Bay as Eden and Cash discover that facing serious illness together does not mean coping in the same way. Richie and Abigail also decide whether their feelings are strong enough to survive the hostility surrounding them, while other relationships face difficult truths of their own.

Eden manages to get out with Cash but soon becomes too tired to continue their plans. Cash later searches aplastic anaemia support groups and becomes encouraged by the experience of someone still alive three years after failing to find a stem-cell donor, only for Eden to accuse him of looking for false hope. Their disagreement eventually leads to a more honest understanding of what each needs.

Remi is struggling with Eden's condition too and channels much of his attention into Sonny. Justin points out that Sonny can look after himself, and Sonny eventually becomes the person helping Remi talk through his feelings.

Abigail and Richie admit they still want each other and agree to take things slowly. Lacey strongly opposes the reunion and tells Abigail their friendship cannot continue, but Richie later declares his love and Abigail decides they are giving the relationship a proper chance.

Richie's decision to stay forces David to face him again. Amelia encourages David to stop relying on avoidance, and David eventually meets Richie to establish firm boundaries. Lacey later accepts Abigail's decision to continue dating him, even though her own feelings towards Richie remain unchanged.

Leah unexpectedly becomes involved when she offers Richie the spare room at her and Justin's house. Justin is caught off guard and immediately questions how they will explain the arrangement to David.

Marilyn's bond with Zane reaches an emotional conclusion when he tells her she did not fail him. She later learns he has received eight months for breaching parole and 17 months for assaulting a police officer, plus the rest of his original sentence, leaving Alf to remind Marilyn that one painful outcome should not change her compassionate nature.

Levi and Mackenzie have decided not to pursue IVF again, while Levi also learns his donor application for Eden caused him to miss the optimal window for hand surgery. Amelia then admits she wants to keep his temporary hospital role because her relationship with David has made her want to stay.

Mackenzie opens up to Tane about the IVF decision and challenges him over avoiding Sonny. Tane eventually makes a small effort towards him, while Justin and Leah's romantic return home is quickly overtaken by the complications surrounding Richie.
