Hollyoaks Vicky faces difficult moment as wedding approaches

Vicky is set to face a particularly difficult time in Hollyoaks as Leah and Imran prepare for their wedding, with her eating disorder continuing to affect her as she tries to be there for her friend.

Vicky remains involved in the celebrations and does Leah’s bridal nails ahead of the ceremony. However, when her bridesmaid dress arrives, the situation becomes overwhelming for her and she begins to panic.

Rather than overlooking what is happening, Leah recognises that Vicky is struggling and becomes concerned about her friend. She asks Prince to stay with Vicky and support her, making sure she is not left to deal with the moment alone.

The scenes come as Hollyoaks continues Vicky’s eating disorder storyline, showing how something that should ordinarily be a happy occasion can become incredibly difficult for someone dealing with an eating disorder. Vicky is surrounded by wedding preparations while facing her own private battle, with Leah beginning to recognise just how much she is struggling.

There is plenty happening around Vicky too, as Leah and Imran’s wedding becomes increasingly complicated. Leah is hiding her involvement with Prince, while Imran has admitted that before he and Leah got together, he had wanted to marry another woman.

Vicky later seeks out Imran before the ceremony and tells him that he cannot get married. The information released does not reveal exactly what prompts her to intervene, so it remains unclear what Vicky knows or what she is trying to tell him.

Imran subsequently fails to appear at the altar, leaving Leah waiting while Ste comforts his daughter. However, Vicky’s own storyline remains important amid the wider wedding drama, particularly as those around her begin to see that she is having a difficult time and needs their support.

Hollyoaks is available to stream on Channel 4 and watch live on E4 at 7pm Monday to Wednesday.
