Hollyoaks Abigail delivers emotional Rex memorial tribute

Abigail takes on an important role as Hollyoaks brings the village together for an emotional memorial to Rex, with Ro determined to make sure his friend is properly remembered.

Still struggling with his grief, Ro decides to arrange a memorial service in the park and asks Ste for his blessing. The community soon gathers for an afternoon dedicated to Rex, with colourful decorations transforming the space as those closest to him come together.

Abigail is among those taking part and delivers a moving speech in Rex’s memory. Her words form one of the most personal moments of the gathering as the village reflects on the impact Rex had on the people around him.

The memorial is particularly difficult for Ro, who has been deeply affected by losing his friend. Tony is also dealing with the loss, leaving father and son trying to navigate their grief while surrounded by people who want to support them.

Abigail increasingly appears to be among those Ro can lean on. Their connection gives him another source of support as he begins facing life without Rex, while his siblings and the wider community also remain around him.

Ste faces his own painful day as he attends the memorial for his husband. Leah stays close to her dad as he battles through the service, although the questions surrounding Rex’s murder remain firmly in his mind even as the village gathers to remember him.

The scenes give Rex a community farewell while also showing how differently those closest to him are coping with his death. For Abigail, taking part in the memorial allows her to show just how much Rex meant to those around him while also offering support to Ro during an incredibly difficult period.

With grief affecting several families across the village, Rex’s memorial looks set to become an important moment for everyone left behind.
