Final Chance to See Trans Is Human Exhibition at London’s Queer Britain Museum

Visitors have until Sunday 29 November 2026 to see Trans Is Human at London’s Queer Britain museum, as the photography exhibition celebrating the lives and experiences of transgender people enters its final month.

Created and produced by Jake and Hannah Graf, the exhibition features 13 black-and-white portraits by internationally renowned photographer Mariano Vivanco. Rather than concentrating solely on gender identity, the collection introduces visitors to the individuals behind the photographs, exploring their relationships, experiences and personal stories.

The exhibition opened on 5 August, giving visitors almost four months to experience the collection at the UK’s national LGBTQ+ museum in King’s Cross.

The People Behind the Portraits

The exhibition features Adelle, Amanda, Austin, Carlos, George, Hansen, Jack, Leo, Milo, Miri, Petra, Sarah and Shika, each bringing a different perspective on life as a transgender person in Britain.

Their stories explore love, family, personal challenges, hope and perseverance, with the photographs presenting individuals whose lives cannot be defined by a single aspect of their identity.

Vivanco, whose photography has appeared in international fashion publications and campaigns, captures the participants in black and white, placing the emphasis on their expressions and individuality.

For Jake and Hannah Graf, the project is intended to encourage audiences to recognise the people behind public discussions about transgender lives, particularly when those discussions overlook individual experiences.

How Trans Is Human Reached Queer Britain

The exhibition has travelled through several London venues since its first public presentation at Westfield London in March 2025, which coincided with Transgender Day of Visibility.

It subsequently appeared at Outernet London in November 2025, where the portraits formed part of an immersive presentation featuring music by Yungblud, before returning to the venue during Pride Month in June 2026.

Its move to Queer Britain in August gave the project a longer exhibition period within a museum dedicated to preserving and sharing LGBTQ+ histories and experiences.

SoapLandTV previously explored the project’s background, its creators and the people featured when the exhibition opened. Readers can revisit our original Trans Is Human exhibition article for more information about its development.

How to Visit Before the Exhibition Closes

Trans Is Human is showing at Queer Britain, 2 Granary Square, King’s Cross, London N1C 4BH, until Sunday 29 November 2026.

The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 12pm to 6pm, and admission operates on a pay-what-you-can donation basis, including free entry for visitors who need it. The suggested donation is £10, or £5 for visitors under 30.

Visitors can book their visit through Queer Britain’s official ticket page, where available dates and accessibility information are provided.

With the exhibition approaching its final weeks, November offers the last opportunity to experience the portraits together at Queer Britain before the scheduled closing date.
