Emmerdale spoilers 5 to 9 October 2026 as Charity seeks a talk with Sarah
Serena visits Charity in prison before Charity approaches Sarah, as Nicola faces Jimmy’s funeral and Gabby wakes in hospital.
Serena’s visit takes Charity by surprise in Emmerdale. Charity is in prison when Serena arrives, and she is thrown again when Serena says she wants to talk about Sarah. It leads into a difficult encounter between Charity and Sarah later in the week.
Charity asks Sarah for a word in the back room as others wait to see how Sarah will respond. Whether Sarah can forgive Charity for her betrayal remains an open question. Sarah also makes a decision with Jacob, although the details of their choice have not yet been revealed.
Elsewhere, Laurel heads to speak to Gabby and cannot find her. Gabby is having a panic attack on the floor at The Hide without Laurel knowing what has happened. She later wakes in hospital feeling emotional and appears ready to make the first steps towards recovery with Laurel and Manpreet’s support.
Jimmy’s funeral is approaching, leaving Nicola to prepare for the service while still struggling with his betrayal. Carl finds a mysterious key among Jimmy’s scrapyard belongings and is upset that Jimmy will not be there for his birthday.
When Nicola receives a call from Hotten Golf Club, Robert listens from the corner of the café. Manpreet recognises Carl’s find as a key to Jimmy’s locker at the club, and Sadie takes Robert there to look for Jimmy’s missing money. Nicola and Rodney enter the locker room, forcing the pair to hide before it becomes clear whether the cash is there.
The week ends with the villagers gathered at church. Sadie takes a seat at the front as Charles begins a speech that Nicola finds impersonal. Nicola halts him and decides to speak herself, choosing to take charge of Jimmy’s farewell.
