easyJet to Introduce Starlink Wi-Fi on Flights From 2027

easyJet passengers will be able to access high-speed internet during flights from 2027 after the airline announced plans to introduce Starlink Wi-Fi across its aircraft.

The new service will allow travellers to browse websites, stream films and television programmes, send messages and use online services while flying. Installation will begin during the first half of 2027, with the rollout expected to be completed by early 2028.

Which easyJet flights will have Wi-Fi?

The airline plans to install Starlink across its Airbus A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft, bringing onboard internet connectivity to millions of passengers.

However, the service will not become available on every aircraft simultaneously. The installation programme will take place over several months, meaning some flights may offer Wi-Fi before others.

easyJet has not yet announced which routes will receive the service first or how passengers will be informed about availability when booking.

Will passengers have to pay?

One important detail remains unconfirmed, with easyJet yet to announce whether passengers will have to pay to use Starlink.

The airline has confirmed that customers will be able to access high-speed connectivity, but it has not provided details about pricing, complimentary access or possible usage restrictions.

Passengers should therefore avoid assuming the service will be free until the airline confirms its plans.

What will change for travellers?

The introduction of onboard internet could make a practical difference for passengers who want to stay connected during short and medium-haul journeys.

Holidaymakers could use the service to check onward travel arrangements, contact accommodation providers or stream entertainment, while business travellers may find it easier to work during flights.

The technology could also provide an alternative to downloading films, television programmes and other entertainment before travelling.

easyJet expects the fleet-wide installation programme to be completed by early 2028, with further details about availability and access arrangements to follow.
