EastEnders Kim Makes Huge Wedding Change for Denise
EastEnders sees Kim and Howie completely change their wedding plans when Denise cannot attend, leading to a very different ceremony for the couple.
Kim and Howie’s wedding will take an unexpected turn in upcoming EastEnders scenes when Denise’s hospital stay forces the couple to reconsider how they want to spend their big day.
Kim has every reason to be excited as she prepares to marry Howie, and she is certainly ready to make an entrance. However, underneath the celebrations she is struggling with the knowledge that Denise cannot be there with her.
The sisters have shared so much of their lives that going ahead without Denise leaves Kim facing a difficult reality. This should be one of the happiest occasions of her life, but an important member of her family is missing.
Howie quickly picks up on how Kim is feeling. Instead of expecting her to put those emotions aside, he helps make sure Denise can still play a central part in what happens next.
The plans are changed and Kim and Howie head to the hospital, where Denise is able to watch as they exchange their vows. Their family also gathers nearby, allowing the couple to share the occasion with the people closest to them despite the unusual location.
For Kim, it means she no longer has to choose between celebrating her marriage and wishing her sister could have been there. Denise gets to witness the ceremony, while Kim gets the reassurance of having her beside her for such an important moment.
There is more positive news when the family learns that a provisional stem-cell match has been found for Denise. The development gives everyone another reason to feel hopeful as Kim and Howie begin married life.
The newlyweds will eventually return to the community centre, where their wedding celebrations continue. Things have not exactly gone to plan in their absence, with Ryder and Jodie having helped themselves to the alcohol, giving Kim another situation to deal with.
