Coronation Street's Debbie makes emotional decision after heartbreaking dementia ordeal

Debbie Webster decides to make a major lifestyle change after an upsetting dementia-related incident leaves her shaken and searching for ways to stay as independent as possible.

Having experienced another distressing memory lapse, Debbie reaches the conclusion that she wants to do all she can to help herself as she continues living with the condition.

The emotional scenes begin during a garden gathering hosted by Sally, who invites Debbie, Bernie, Mary, Fiz and Christina over to celebrate her latest purchase – an outdoor pizza oven.

Fresh from a break away with Ronnie, Debbie is delighted to spend time with her friends, and the afternoon initially gets off to a cheerful start.
