Coronation Street: What really happened after Cassie got into Ross's car?

Cassie's final moments in Weatherfield take an unexpected turn in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, leaving viewers with one major question after she accepts a lift from Ross.

After deciding there is nothing left for her in Weatherfield, Cassie prepares to leave and begin a new chapter with a job on a cruise ship. Before she goes, she arranges to meet Steve at the police station in the hope they can clear the air.
