Coronation Street Spoilers: 9 to 14 August
Coronation Street preview for 9 to 14 August: Sarah faces danger in prison, Richie is charged with murder, and Alya receives a major Speed Daal offer.
Sarah’s ordeal behind bars takes another frightening turn when Bethany visits and discovers her mum has been badly bruised. Sarah tries to play down what has happened, but she is clearly unsettled by one of her fellow inmates and later makes the painful decision to end her relationship with Kit. She insists she still loves him but refuses to let her situation threaten his career in the police.
The split leaves Kit devastated, and he attempts to numb his heartbreak with vodka before Jodie unexpectedly offers to buy him a pizza. Sarah faces further intimidation when inmate Kacey reveals it is common knowledge that her former partner is a police officer. After Sarah receives a threat, Kacey promises she will protect her.
Tim’s cousin Richie arrives after being thrown out by his wife Rachel, disrupting Tim’s planned games night with Sally. Tim encourages him to return home, but the situation becomes much more serious when Richie answers the door wearing a blood-spattered shirt. Tim and Sally are horrified when Richie is charged with Rachel’s murder, although he insists her death was an act of self-defence.
Sally, Tim and Brody are also told that Lucy’s foster placement has fallen through. Tim agrees that Lucy can move in with them, but she soon runs away and her night terrors later leave Tim and Sally struggling to sleep.
At Speed Daal, Alya reveals she intends to sell her share of the business, but Idris begins interfering with the potential deal. Nick and Toyah warn Leanne that Idris is a thug who frightened prospective buyer Gavin by pretending to have connections with the authorities. When Alya has an urgent meeting, Idris steps in and offers her £35,000 for her share, leaving her with a major decision.
Elsewhere, Harry is furious when Kit signs him up for Little Big Shotz. Hope also discovers something unexpected inside Ross’s wallet and quickly tells Fiz what she has found.
