Coronation Street’s Lisa intervenes when Kit loses his temper with a suspect, sending him home with a serious warning about his future.
Lisa has to intervene when Kit loses his temper with a suspect in upcoming Coronation Street scenes. She tells him to take the day off, unaware of what he is going through personally.
The incident follows a difficult moment at Bernie’s appointment, which Kit attends alongside Dev. When Bernie expresses confidence that her test result will be negative, Kit reacts angrily and storms out.
His frustration later spills into work, prompting Lisa to bring the confrontation with the suspect to a stop. She makes it clear that he needs to address his behaviour or risk losing his job.
Sending Kit home gives him some breathing space away from the station.
Lisa’s response is firm but fair, dealing with the situation in front of her while giving him an opportunity to take a step back.
Kit is struggling with more than Lisa realises. Whether he feels ready to open up remains to be seen, but doing so could help her understand the support he needs.
Where to watch: Coronation Street airs on ITV1. Episodes are also available to stream on ITVX.
