Channel 4 Is Coming to Disney+ With Live TV and Hundreds of Shows
Channel 4 joins Disney+ in early 2027, bringing its live channel, popular programmes and selected new series to subscribers at no extra cost.
Disney+ subscribers in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch Channel 4’s live television channel and hundreds of hours of its programmes from early 2027, following a major agreement between the broadcasters.
The new Channel 4 section will be included in existing Disney+ subscriptions at no additional charge, offering another way to watch British television without switching between streaming services.
Which programmes are coming to Disney+?
Confirmed programmes include Big Mood, Tip Toe and 24 Hours in A&E, alongside a selection of drama, comedy, factual entertainment and reality television.
Some new Channel 4 productions will also become available on Disney+ on the same day as their original release. These include Maya, starring Bella Ramsey, Stepping Up, featuring Denise Welch, and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Maya follows a mother and daughter entering witness protection, while Stepping Up centres on an enthusiastic stepfather navigating life with his new blended family.
The full programme catalogue has not yet been announced, so subscribers should not assume every Channel 4 series will be included.
Will Channel 4 still be free?
Channel 4’s existing television channel and free streaming service will continue operating, meaning viewers will not need Disney+ to watch its programmes.
Instead, the partnership gives Disney+ subscribers access to a selection of Channel 4 content through a dedicated section within the platform.
The agreement also includes Channel 4’s main HD television channel, allowing subscribers to watch live broadcasts alongside the on-demand catalogue.
When will Channel 4 launch on Disney+?
The service is scheduled to arrive in early 2027, although neither broadcaster has confirmed an exact launch date.
Further information about the complete programme selection and availability will be announced closer to the launch.
For UK viewers, the main benefit is straightforward: more British television will become available through an existing Disney+ subscription, while Channel 4’s free services remain available separately.
