Will Nick’s Bistro sale help Leanne get away with sabotage in Coronation Street?
Toyah accuses Leanne of trying to sabotage the Bistro in Coronation Street, but Nick’s decision to sell the business could change everything.
Toyah Battersby believes she has worked out what Leanne and Idris are doing in Coronation Street, but Nick Tilsley’s latest decision could complicate the alleged plan.
Last week, the Bistro came under pressure after customers complained about food poisoning and an inspection revealed that meat past its sell-by date had been used.
Nick explained that financial problems had forced him to buy supplies from Freshco, but the discovery raised questions about whether the situation was an unfortunate mistake or something more deliberate.
Toyah accused Leanne and Idris of trying to sabotage the business so they could buy it at a reduced price. Leanne’s response has yet to establish whether Toyah has uncovered a genuine scheme, leaving the accusation hanging over the family.
Viewers were quick to question Idris’s involvement. One comment from the 15 October discussion read: “Idris is pretty sus, Leanne.” Another viewer welcomed Toyah’s decision to challenge her sister, writing: “Oh, thank you, Toyah! Finally having some spunk against your turd of a sister!!”
The comments reflect the suspicion surrounding Leanne and Idris, but the accusation remains unproven.
Toyah will need more than a confrontation if she is to establish that the Bistro’s problems were deliberately engineered.
Nick’s decision could change the balance of power. He tells Sam that he plans to sell the business back to Leanne so he can focus on him. Sam urges his father to reconsider, reminding him that the Bistro is not just a source of income but somewhere he genuinely loves.
If Nick goes ahead, Leanne could regain control of the restaurant despite Toyah’s suspicions.
But if evidence of sabotage emerges, the sale could become a much bigger problem for everyone involved.
