EastEnders' Sean Slater Returns With a Deadly Threat as Dark Past Resurfaces
Sean Slater returns to EastEnders threatening to kill Craig as Amy's disappearance revives his painful history with Roxy and Jack.
Sean Slater has made an explosive return to EastEnders, threatening to kill the man responsible for Amy Mitchell's disappearance as one of Walford's most troubled family histories comes back to haunt him.
Rob Kazinsky returned to the BBC soap on Thursday 29 October, stepping out of a taxi as Jack Branning struggled to cope with his missing daughter's disappearance. Within minutes, Sean had made his intentions clear, but their conversation also raised an unexpected question about why he had really come back to Albert Square.
With Amy trapped in an increasingly dangerous relationship with Craig, Sean's return has brought his painful past with Roxy Mitchell and Jack back into focus, almost 18 years after a devastating revelation tore their lives apart.
Sean's deadly threat brings back memories of his violent past

Sean arrived just as Jack was beginning to fear the worst about Amy, who has been groomed by Craig and persuaded to leave Walford.
In Thursday's episode, Jack discovered that Amy had attempted to contact him, only for Craig to realise what she had done and throw her phone from the car.
Police later arrived with a teddy bear belonging to Amy, leaving Jack increasingly distressed about what might have happened to his daughter.
When Sean appeared, the two men sat together in Albert Square, where Sean vowed to track down Craig and kill him.
The threat was particularly disturbing given Sean's history of violence and unpredictable behaviour. Although he has spent years away from Walford, his reaction suggested that his protective instincts towards Amy are as strong as ever.
However, something Jack said during their reunion suggested Sean might have another reason for returning, raising the possibility that Amy's disappearance is not the only unfinished business bringing him home.

The heartbreaking truth about Sean and Amy
Sean's determination to protect Amy is rooted in his turbulent marriage to her late mother, Roxy Mitchell.
The couple married in 2008, and when Amy was born that November, Sean believed he was her biological father. He had already developed a strong attachment to the baby and was looking forward to raising her with Roxy.
That future was destroyed on Christmas Day when Suzy Branning exposed the results of a DNA test through a Christmas cracker, revealing that Jack was Amy's biological father.
Sean was devastated by the discovery, particularly because Jack had previously been involved with Roxy's sister Ronnie.
His reaction spiralled into a frightening storyline in which he took Amy, leading to a desperate search and a confrontation with Roxy beside a frozen lake.
Both Sean and Roxy ended up in the icy water but survived, with Sean subsequently leaving Walford on New Year's Day 2009.
Despite the circumstances of his departure, Sean never completely let go of his emotional connection to Amy.

Kazinsky recently explained that Sean still thinks of Amy as his child and remembers the devastation of discovering that she was not biologically his. The actor also revealed that Sean remains determined to honour a promise he made to Roxy to protect her daughter.
EastEnders viewers celebrate Sean's comeback
Sean's return has prompted an enthusiastic response from viewers, many of whom have been waiting years to see Kazinsky reprise the role permanently.
One viewer wrote, "The smile that came up on my face when I saw Sean," while another declared, "Sean slater the man that you are."
A third celebrated his appearance with, "FINALLY!!! Sean Slater is back!!", reflecting the excitement surrounding one of the soap's most unpredictable characters.
However, his sudden arrival has also sparked questions about his real motives, especially after Thursday's conversation suggested he might already have been planning to return.
Some viewers have speculated that his comeback could be connected to another member of the Slater family, although the BBC has not confirmed a separate reason for his arrival.
Sean and Jack face another explosive confrontation
In episodes airing from Monday 2 November, Sean and Jack spend the night searching for Amy, but their shared concern does little to erase their longstanding differences.
Their relationship becomes strained when they discover that Max has allowed Amy early access to her inheritance, prompting an argument before the pair confront him.
Sean also faces an uncomfortable reunion with Lily, who is furious that her uncle failed to acknowledge her after returning to Walford.
A possible breakthrough comes when Lily discovers that Amy used Charli's tablet to open an online bank account, providing information that the family can pass to the police.

Meanwhile, Amy remains hidden in a bedsit with Craig, who is making plans to take her abroad. His controlling behaviour becomes increasingly frightening when he discovers her bank account has been frozen and violently attacks her.
With the family desperate to reach Amy, Sean suggests that Denise record an emotional video pleading with her to come home.
The plan offers another possible way of getting through to Amy, although her isolation from her family leaves serious concerns about whether Craig will allow her to see the message.
Is Sean hiding another reason for coming home?
Kazinsky's permanent return was announced in August, with the BBC confirming that Sean would move back to Walford for family reasons that would become clearer as his storyline developed.
His previous appearances in 2019, 2021 and 2022 were brief, making this his first extended return since leaving the soap in 2009.
With Stacey currently away from Walford and Sean's history with the Brannings far from resolved, there are several relationships that could become central to his future.
His immediate concern is Amy, but Thursday's episode left open the possibility that there is more behind his sudden arrival.
For now, Sean and Jack have one shared priority, despite the painful history connecting them. Both are determined to bring Amy home safely, although Sean's threat towards Craig raises concerns about how far he might be prepared to go.
Whether he can control his temper long enough to help rescue Amy, and what else may have brought him back to Albert Square, are questions that could shape his return over the coming weeks.
