Why Is Liam Keeping Chas in the Dark in Emmerdale?

Liam Cavanagh has given Chas Dingle reason to question what he is up to in Emmerdale, with his furtive behaviour leaving her increasingly suspicious.

Chas knows Liam well enough to recognise when something is bothering him, but working out what he is keeping to himself may prove more difficult.

Liam’s storyline has also involved his plans to spend time with Cain Dingle before Cain begins radiotherapy.

Taking Cain fishing offers the pair an opportunity to spend time together away from the usual pressures of village life, but Liam’s behaviour has left Chas wondering whether there is more going on than he is letting on.

Chas is not the sort of person to ignore something that does not feel right.

If Liam is deliberately keeping information from her, she is likely to start looking for answers rather than simply accepting his explanations.

There is an important distinction, however, between acting secretively and having a harmful motive.

Liam could be trying to manage a difficult situation privately, or he may have a reason for keeping his plans under wraps. Until the full picture emerges, Chas can only work with what she has noticed.

Will Chas discover what Liam is hiding before he is ready to tell her, and could her suspicions put pressure on their relationship?
