Who Took Robert’s Poker Winnings in Emmerdale?

Robert Sugden thought he had secured a major victory in Emmerdale today after winning a high-stakes poker game against Joe Tate.

However, his celebrations took an alarming turn when the £100,000 he had won disappeared from the Woolpack, leaving one question hanging over the village. Who took the cash?

The game began with Robert desperate to raise money and protect his future with The Hide. Joe agreed to a high-stakes contest in which Robert would win £100,000 and keep the restaurant if he won, while Joe would take the keys if he lost.

Claudette Anderson proved a formidable opponent in the early rounds, while Jai Sharma also took part before the contest eventually came down to Robert and Joe.

Robert ultimately won.

The celebrations continued at the Woolpack, where the bag of cash was left unattended while the group enjoyed drinks.

By the end of the evening, the money had disappeared.

Viewers were quick to question Robert’s carelessness.

One commented: “Well that was just plain stupid, Robert. Leaving a bag of cash out in the open in front of the two men you just outplayed and your ex-con ex-husband.”

Another questioned why Robert had left the money behind while the pub was busy, asking: “Robert still leaves the money on a seat unattended?”

However, there is a more intriguing clue. Kev walked past Robert when time was called, carrying what looked like his black leather jacket.

The timing of his departure looks suspicious, particularly given that Robert later discovered his winnings were missing.

Could Kev have hidden the cash in his jacket?

Could Kev have spotted an opportunity to take the cash while everyone else was distracted?

His apparent proximity to the money makes him one of the strongest suspects at this stage.

Joe also has a potential motive after losing the game, and wanting to get his cash back.

It is possible that someone else took advantage of Robert’s carelessness, leaving him to discover the loss only after the opportunity to catch the culprit had passed.

Robert’s victory could now turn into a costly disaster if the money is not recovered as Robert now thinks he’s lost everything.

Will he realise that Kev may have taken it, and can he get his £100,000 back?
