Who Is Si Wall? Hollyoaks Appoints New Executive Producer
Meet Si Wall, the new Hollyoaks executive producer, as he shares his ambitions for the Channel 4 soap and its loyal audience.
Hollyoaks is entering an exciting new chapter with Si Wall appointed as executive producer of the Channel 4 soap, taking over from Hannah Cheers, who has been promoted to Creative Director at Lime Pictures.
Wall is already an established figure behind the scenes, having served as series producer and worked closely with Cheers on some of Hollyoaks' biggest recent productions.
Their work together includes the soap's 30th anniversary episodes and the special Brookside crossover, which reunited two much-loved Channel 4 dramas.
What does Si Wall have planned?
Wall wants to attract a new generation of viewers while keeping the characters and families that long-standing fans have grown to love at the centre of the show.
Speaking about his appointment, Wall said: "I want to bring new audiences to Hollyoaks with urgent stories that speak to young people, while honouring the fans who've been with us for years."
He also praised the soap's combination of established actors and emerging talent, highlighting its ability to tell ambitious stories built around relatable characters.
John Whittle, managing director of Lime Pictures, welcomed the appointment, saying Wall had been central to Hollyoaks' success.
With Wall already closely involved in the programme, the promotion offers continuity while opening the door to fresh ideas for the village's future.
Hollyoaks streams on Channel 4 before airing on E4.
