Who is Angus McColl? Meet the actor behind Home and Away newcomer Zane Talbot

Home and Away viewers in the UK will soon be introduced to mysterious newcomer Zane Talbot, with Australian actor Angus McColl making his soap debut as the ex-convict hoping to build a new life in Summer Bay.

While Zane will be making a huge impression on screen with his connection to Marilyn and his uneasy relationship with Alf, Angus is also building a career away from the soap. He works as both an actor and musician, having previously appeared in productions including Spirit of the Game, Content Is King and Looking for Haberfield.

Away from acting, Angus is a self taught musician who sings, plays guitar and piano, and has released his own original music. He has previously spoken about drawing inspiration from personal experiences when writing songs, with his debut single Dead marking an important step in his music career.

Home and Away is expected to introduce viewers to many more sides of Zane in the weeks ahead as his past continues to catch up with him. With links already forming across Summer Bay, Angus looks set to become a familiar face for fans of the long running Australian soap.
