What happens in Home and Away 17–21 August? Sonny faces exposure, Beau terrorises Harper, Levi receives bad news and Zane arrives.
Summer Bay faces a week of secrets, danger and difficult decisions as Sonny’s double life threatens his future with Dana, while Harper becomes increasingly trapped by Beau’s behaviour.
Dana finally makes her second, official proposal to Sonny and is delighted when he says yes. Their happiness is threatened almost immediately when Alf witnesses Sonny carrying out a drug transaction. Sonny’s guilt continues at their engagement party, especially as Dana delivers an emotional speech, while Remi warns him to tell the truth or he will go to police.
Remi later follows through on his warning by reporting steroid dealing at the gym, although he does not implicate Sonny. Police obtain a search warrant and raid the gym, leaving Sonny wondering how much longer he can keep the truth from Dana.
Harper’s situation with Beau also becomes increasingly dangerous. His jealousy and attempts to control her escalate until, during a confrontation, Beau hits Harper across the face. He then gaslights her about the attack, while Harper struggles to conceal what is really happening from Archie. She even pushes Tane away in an attempt to protect him and her son from Beau.
Levi meanwhile survives a horrific accident after Cash manages to move the boulder crushing his arm while Mali calls emergency services. At hospital, Levi receives devastating news that the damage to his hand is severe and may never completely heal.
David is cleared to return to the police force, although Lacey and Jo remain worried. His first days back become difficult when Richie’s file arrives on his desk and triggers memories of the shooting. David insists to his daughters that he can cope, while also making it clear to Amelia that he sees her only as a friend.
Justin and Leah enjoy some romance at Salt, while Alf tells them to stop interfering in David’s love life. Alf soon has another concern when newly released prisoner Zane arrives searching for Marilyn and reveals that they have been prison pen pals.
