Coronation Street’s Andy Whyment Shows Off Singing Talent as Oasis Videos Attract Thousands

Coronation Street star Andy Whyment has been showing off his singing talents away from Weatherfield, performing Oasis classics in a TikTok series that’s attracting thousands of likes.

The actor, best known for playing Kirk Sutherland, launched his Oasis Files series with Hello, explaining that he planned to perform a different Oasis song every week and inviting followers to suggest their favourites.

Since then, Andy has performed Slide Away, Acquiesce, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Rockin’ Chair and Songbird, sometimes accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.

His performances have proved hugely popular, with Hello attracting more than 23,000 likes, Slide Away passing 16,000 and Acquiesce receiving over 7,500 likes.

Andy has kept the videos relaxed and entertaining, even admitting during his Rockin’ Chair performance: “My voice isn’t playing today but here we go another absolute tune!!”

The musical performances offer a lighter contrast to recent events on Coronation Street, where Kirk was among the Underworld factory workers hearing boss Carla’s worrying announcement that she might have to sell the business, putting their jobs at risk.

With nearly 200,000 TikTok followers and 1.4 million likes across his account, Andy’s videos are giving viewers another reason to follow the popular Corrie actor.

Fans can go follow, watch his performances, get involved and suggest which Oasis classic he should sing next on Andy Whyment’s TikTok account!
