What happens in Coronation Street 17–21 August? Sarah faces Kacey, Idris hosts a secret poker game and Nina receives surprising news.
A secret poker night, growing danger for Sarah and unexpected news for Nina lead the biggest Coronation Street developments.
Nina returns from Whitby believing she has blown her gallery interview, only to discover she has actually been offered the job. The news leaves Roy facing the possibility of a major change.
Sarah has far more immediate problems behind bars. Kacey wants her to convince Kit to help her son following his arrest on suspicion of armed robbery. Sarah refuses, but Kacey begins threatening her and eventually turns physical. Todd alerts Kit, although Kit warns Sarah that intervening could put his career at risk.
Kit is also under pressure over Harry. After Adam encourages Harry to attend Little Big Shotz, an argument with Jake ends with damaged headphones. Glenda and Bethany become involved, while Adam later meets Lottie at the holiday club.
Idris desperately needs money after Alya refuses to accept less than £50,000 for Speed Daal. Leanne provides £5,000, but Idris secretly stages a poker night involving Ollie, Lauren and Fiona. Kit joins after Brody reveals what is happening, while Brody secretly drinks behind the bar. Ollie eventually wins, but Leanne discovers the truth.
Lily attempts to make peace with Lucy and opens up about losing Kylie. Lucy still wants contact with Richie, leaving Sally and Tim struggling as Social Services discuss new foster parents. Richie then asks Tim to back his self-defence story.
George and Christina argue over her spending, with Todd, James and Sean supporting her. Todd later meets Celeste and Fraser, and Fraser quickly catches both Glenda and Todd’s attention.
Will receives support from Ben over his GCSE results as Weatherfield’s eventful week continues.
