The love story at the heart of Camp Wonder Saga
Meet Marc and Earl, the central couple in Camp Wonder Saga, as creator Francois Stroebel discusses LGBTQ+ romance, friendship and supernatural fantasy.
A young man discovering his powers, a protective werewolf with a complicated past and an unexpected romance are at the centre of The Camp Wonder Saga, an independent LGBTQ+ supernatural fantasy series created by Francois Stroebel.
The story follows Marc Carter, whose arrival at Camp Wonder introduces him to a sanctuary for supernatural beings. Among those he meets is Earl Rowan, a powerful werewolf whose intimidating appearance hides a surprisingly gentle personality.
Their relationship provides much of the emotional heart of a story that also features magic, danger, mystery and an expanding group of characters.

Getting to know Marc and Earl
Marc is compassionate, occasionally stubborn and still discovering what he's capable of. Despite the supernatural dangers surrounding him, protecting the people he loves is one of his strongest instincts.
Earl is equally loyal and protective, although expressing feelings doesn't always come easily. His relationship with Marc reveals another side of his personality, particularly when it comes to trust and vulnerability.
Speaking exclusively to SoapLandTV, Francois explained why the relationship is such an important part of the series.
"Their relationship is one of the emotional foundations of the series. It’s about trust, vulnerability, learning to love, and discovering that even the strongest people need someone they can lean on."

More than one relationship to follow
Camp Wonder also introduces Dunn Fisher, Marc's close friend and a character whose sense of humour frequently gets him into trouble. Francois describes their friendship as practically brotherly, with Dunn bringing some lighter moments to the supernatural adventures.

Other residents include Silver, a reserved werewolf discovering a new path, and Rafael, a playful kitsune whose confident personality brings flirting and humour to the camp.
For Francois, creating the series was partly about bringing more LGBTQ+ characters into the supernatural stories enjoyed growing up. The aim was to create a world where romance, friendship and acceptance could exist alongside the usual fantasy adventures.
That combination has already attracted an audience. Francois told SoapLandTV that viewers have been discussing the characters, sharing their thoughts and cheering for Marc and Earl.
