Silver Creek Creators Reveal the Story Behind Their AI Lesbian Romance
Meet Charley and Rose, the two mums behind Silver Creek, as they reveal the inspiration, AI production process and future of Lauren and Sloane's romance.
A new lesbian romance series is finding its audience on YouTube, bringing together two very different women, a working horse corral and a love story created using artificial intelligence.
Silver Creek follows Lauren, a confident doctor looking for a fresh start after a break-up, and Sloane, a reserved corral owner who has spent much of her life working with horses. Their growing attraction is at the heart of a WLW (women-loving-women) drama produced by Wildling Media.
Behind the series are Charley and Rose, two mums raising two young children who wanted to create more positive stories featuring women falling in love with women.
But there is a personal story behind the production, too. Real experiences working with horses have helped inspire the fictional setting, while AI technology allows the creators to bring their characters to the screen.
In an exclusive interview with SoapLandTV, Charley and Rose discuss the inspiration behind Silver Creek, the challenges of AI filmmaking, the growing relationship between Lauren and Sloane, and their hopes for the series.

Could you tell us a little about yourselves and how Wildling Media started?
We are a two-mom family with two young kids. As the WLW community knows, we have basically been starved for representation and good content since The L Word. Abbi Jacobson gave us a dream of a show (A League of Their Own) but Amazon killed it after one season. We started Wildling Media to create happy, loving, WLW content where no one has coming out drama, no one dies of cholera, and no one goes back to their husband. Just women living their best lives and shamelessly flirting with other women.
What inspired you to create this series?
Gen C's Icebreaker series inspired me to see if I could create a show as well. She's the real MVP! As for Silver Creek specifically as a series, I worked out west as a horse wrangler and this felt like a unique opportunity to relive those days via AI. The plot is fictional, but some of the characters (including some of the horses!) are inspired by my real experiences. Sloane's horse is modeled from my horse, Trigger, and most of the scenery footage is modeled after my real photos.

Can you introduce the main characters and their relationships?
Lauren is a pediatric ER doctor with an Ivy League pedigree and competitive dressage experience. She is confident, curious, and lights up the room. Lauren trades the emergency room for a summer at Silver Creek for a change of scenery after a big breakup. She is reevaluating what she needs and wants out of life. She isn’t your quintessential wrangler, but she’s catching on quickly. Lauren is immediately captivated by Sloane and isn’t afraid to show it.
Sloane has been working at the family corral since she was fourteen. She’s fueled by grit and burnt black coffee, and she runs the corral the way her mother did before her. She is competent, guarded and dry, with a deadpan sense of humor. She is grounded in her intuition and awareness, and she doesn’t miss a thing. Sloane mostly keeps people at a distance, and Lauren is the first person in a while to make her slip.

Their relationship is the heart of the show: a slow burn between the witty city girl and the reserved corral owner. Each episode moves them a little closer, and neither is quite sure of the other.
The rest of the corral:
Josie: a gifted returning wrangler, who worked beside Sloane last season and still carries feelings she never said out loud. She liked Lauren from the start, which complicates everything.
Dawn: runs the front desk and the general store. She is always a step ahead of everyone, especially when it comes to Sloane and Lauren.
Brooks: a returning seasonal wrangler who looks out for Sloane like family.

What makes Episode 4 such a game changer?
Sloane lets Lauren in a little bit more and shares about her late mother. And, of course, that kiss in the kitchen over Sloane’s homemade chili!
How do you use AI in your creative process, and what are the biggest challenges?
I use AI for organizing the shot list for each episode and for generating the video clips. Generating the video can be frustrating at times due to the expense and how frequently the model fails to generate the shot I described. I edit the episodes myself, add music, etc.
How has the audience responded to the series so far?
The people watching it seem to be really enjoying it, and they often express their investment in the characters and the storyline.
Can you give us a little teaser about what’s coming next?
Sloane is not completely convinced that Taylor is out of the picture for Lauren with their breakup only four months prior. She might have some trouble letting herself fully trust Lauren...
What are your long-term plans for Wildling Media?
We are hoping it gains momentum so we can continue to produce Silver Creek for as long as the story needs!
Is there anything you’d especially like our readers to know?
We greatly appreciate all the love and support we've received so far. The feeling of community that this show has already created continues to fill us with hope, love, and togetherness in a time when the world feels so unsteady.
