Shake Shack raises £14,000 for six UK LGBTQ+ charities as Pride fundraiser grows

Shake Shack has raised more than £14,000 for LGBTQ+ organisations across the UK after customers backed the restaurant brand’s annual Pride fundraiser.

The company revealed the final total today, with money raised through sales of its Honeycomb Pride Shake going to organisations supporting LGBTQ+ communities in Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, London, Manchester and Oxford.

For every Pride Shake sold at participating UK restaurants, Shake Shack donated £1 to a local LGBTQ+ organisation.

The six organisations named as beneficiaries are Birmingham LGBT, The Kite Trust, Pride Cymru, Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons’ Trust, akt and Oxford Pride.

The Honeycomb Pride Shake was introduced in May as part of Shake Shack’s limited-time Hot Honey menu, combining vanilla frozen custard with chocolate honeycomb and salted honey.

While the shake disappeared from the menu in July, the final fundraising result shows how those individual £1 donations added up across the UK. This year’s total also represents a significant increase on the company’s previous campaign.

Shake Shack raised £8,564 through its UK Pride Shake in 2025, meaning the amount generated this year has increased by more than 60 per cent. Last year’s money supported five LGBTQ+ organisations around the country.

The 2026 campaign expanded that local approach to six areas, with money directed towards organisations providing a range of services and community support.

Among them, akt supports LGBTQ+ young people aged 16–25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or living in unsafe environments, while Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons’ Trust works with LGBTQ+ young people in London. Other beneficiaries provide local community services, support and Pride events.

Shake Shack now describes the fundraiser as an annual tradition, bringing its restaurant teams and customers together with LGBTQ+ organisations in the communities where it operates.

The company has also indicated that the Pride fundraiser will return next year. For the charities involved, the result means a summer menu item has translated into more than £14,000 of funding for LGBTQ+ work taking place throughout the year.
