PrideCAF returns to Bristol tomorrow for its biggest LGBTQ+ comic festival yet
PrideCAF returns to Bristol for its biggest LGBTQ+ comic festival yet, with more than 80 creators and fundraising for Trans Aid Cymru.
One of the UK’s dedicated celebrations of LGBTQ+ comics and independent art returns to Bristol this weekend, bringing together more than 80 creators for a huge day of comics, zines, art and community.
Pride Comic Art Festival, better known as PrideCAF, takes place on Saturday 19 September from 11am to 5pm at Sparks Bristol. The festival says 2026 will be its biggest event to date, with more than 80 LGBTQIA+ comic and zine creators taking part.
This year’s theme is SPACE, chosen by PrideCAF’s volunteer committee, with organisers promising an “out of this world” return after the festival took a break in 2025.
PrideCAF is designed to give LGBTQ+ artists, writers, illustrators and zine creators a dedicated platform for their work, while giving visitors the chance to discover new independent creators. The event will also feature talks and panels alongside the main festival.
PrideCAF remains open to everyone
Entry to PrideCAF remains completely free and the event is open to all ages. Organisers say they do not want financial barriers to prevent anyone from attending, so visitors do not need a ticket.
However, anyone who is able to contribute can buy an optional Supporter Ticket.
This year, those donations have an additional purpose.
All money raised will support Trans Aid Cymru
PrideCAF has announced that all money raised at its 2026 festival will be donated to Trans Aid Cymru, including Supporter Tickets, raffle sales and donations made at the event.
Trans Aid Cymru is a mutual aid organisation supporting trans, non-binary and intersex people in Wales.
Visitors who can afford to contribute are therefore being encouraged to consider buying a Supporter Ticket, entering the raffle on the day or donating directly to Trans Aid Cymru.
With more than 80 creators, a new venue and its biggest event yet planned, PrideCAF’s Bristol return looks set to be a major celebration of LGBTQ+ creativity.
PrideCAF takes place at Sparks Bristol, 78 Broadmead, Bristol, on Saturday 19 September from 11am until 5pm.
