New £42 London flights launch from one of Europe’s cheapest capitals
SkyUp is launching new direct flights between Chișinău and London Stansted from March 2027, with promotional fares starting from €48 one way.
A new direct link between London and Moldova is opening next spring, with introductory fares starting at roughly £42 each way.
SkyUp will launch flights between Chișinău and London Stansted on 26 March 2027, adding another low-cost option for travellers considering the Moldovan capital for a European city break.
Flights start twice a week
The new service will initially operate on Mondays and Fridays, making a long weekend particularly straightforward. SkyUp says London will become the 27th destination in its summer programme from Chișinău, which covers 12 countries.
To mark the announcement, one-way London fares have gone on sale from €48, equivalent to around £42 at recent exchange rates. The airline says airport fees are included, although the number of seats available at the promotional price is limited.
The offer runs from 6 October until 4 November, giving travellers several weeks to find the cheapest dates. SkyUp's wider summer schedule covers departures between late March and the end of October 2027.
Chișinău remains a less obvious European break than cities such as Prague or Budapest, but that is part of its appeal. Moldova's capital combines wine culture, parks, Soviet-era architecture and a growing food and bar scene without the visitor numbers found in many better-known city-break destinations.
The new Stansted connection also makes Moldova considerably easier to reach without changing aircraft elsewhere in Europe.
Flights are scheduled to take around three hours and 15 minutes, although times vary by travel date.
Tickets are on sale now through SkyUp.
