Mackenzie Boyd’s Desperate Charity Plan Ends in Rejection
Mackenzie Boyd begs Serena Sugden to help free Charity Dingle, but his desperate plan hits a wall when Serena refuses to risk her own freedom.
Mackenzie Boyd suffers another setback in upcoming Emmerdale scenes when his desperate attempt to help Charity Dingle leads him to Serena Sugden.
Charity’s situation in prison is rapidly deteriorating, while Mackenzie is becoming increasingly determined to find anything that could help get her out.
His efforts have already brought him into conflict with Sarah and Cain, but Mackenzie refuses to give up.
Believing Serena could potentially help, he approaches her and begs her to get involved. Mackenzie puts pressure on Serena as he tries to convince her that something must be done before Charity’s situation becomes even worse.
Serena, however, is not prepared to put herself at risk. Despite Mackenzie’s pleas, she makes it clear that she will not jeopardise her own freedom in an attempt to rescue Charity. Her refusal leaves Mackenzie facing yet another dead end while Charity remains trapped behind bars.
The rejection comes at an especially difficult moment. Charity has already been subjected to a traumatic full body search after white powder is found in her cell, before suffering a PTSD induced panic attack and being placed in segregation.
Meanwhile, Sarah is wrestling with whether to tell Jacob everything, leaving several members of the family carrying secrets that could dramatically affect Charity’s future.
Mackenzie may believe he is running out of options, but his increasingly forceful attempts to fix the situation are creating problems of their own.
With Serena refusing to cross a line that could place her own liberty in danger, Mackenzie must now decide what he is prepared to try next.
Emmerdale continues on ITV1 and ITVX
