Jet2 starts three new Gatwick winter routes in October

Jet2 will launch three new winter-sun routes from London Gatwick within four days later this month, with flights to Agadir, La Palma and Madeira all beginning between 22 and 26 October 2026. The services form part of the airline's first full Winter 2026/27 programme from its newest UK base.

More than 400,000 seats have been placed on sale from Gatwick for the winter season, covering 24 destinations. The wider programme includes winter sun, skiing and Christmas markets, but the three October launches are among the first completely new routes passengers will see this month.

When do the three new routes begin?

Flights to Agadir in Morocco start on Thursday 22 October, operating twice each week on Mondays and Thursdays. The route gives Gatwick passengers another direct option for winter sun on Morocco's Atlantic coast.

La Palma begins on Saturday 24 October, with one flight each Saturday. The Canary Island is a quieter alternative to Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria and gives Jet2 another island destination within its Gatwick winter network.

The third launch is Madeira on Monday 26 October, with flights operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. The timings give travellers the option of building either a long weekend or a longer stay around the Portuguese island.

How big is Jet2's Gatwick winter programme?

Jet2 has 43 routes on sale from Gatwick for Winter 2026/27, including 14 new routes. Its winter programme alone covers 15 sun destinations, five ski airports and four Christmas-market cities.

Later additions include new ski services and festive flights to Cologne, Gdansk, Tallinn and Vienna. That makes Gatwick a much broader Jet2 base than simply a handful of Mediterranean summer routes.

The immediate changes arrive first in October, however, with Agadir on the 22nd, La Palma on the 24th and Madeira on the 26th. Anyone considering one of the opening services should check live fares before booking, as prices vary by departure date and demand.
