Italy Pride 2026: 12 Pride Events Still to Come This Autumn

Italy’s biggest Pride celebrations may dominate the summer, but the country’s 2026 Pride season is far from finished. From the Ligurian coast and Sicily to the Italian Alps, another 12 Pride events are scheduled across September and early October, opening up some very different options for an LGBT autumn trip.

For travellers, the later Pride calendar is arguably one of the most interesting times to visit. The huge crowds of peak summer are beginning to ease, temperatures are becoming more comfortable for exploring cities and several of the remaining events take place in destinations that rarely appear on the usual LGBT travel lists.

On 5 September, Pride events are scheduled in Portici, Savona and Brescia. Savona is an especially tempting option for anyone wanting to combine Pride with a few days on the Ligurian coast, while Brescia makes an easy northern Italian city break and can also be paired with nearby Lake Garda.

Portici offers something completely different. Sitting beside the Bay of Naples, the city gives travellers the chance to build Pride into a longer Campania trip, with Naples, Pompeii and the surrounding coastline all within reach.

The following weekend brings Brianza Pride in Cologno Monzese and Brugherio on 12 September, alongside Messina Pride in Sicily, followed by Legnano Pride on 13 September. Messina could be one of the strongest choices for travellers looking to squeeze in some late Mediterranean sunshine, while its position at the northeastern tip of Sicily also makes it a useful starting point for exploring more of the island.

Another two events follow on 19 September, with Bacoli Pride and Vercelli Pride. Bacoli sits west of Naples in an area known for its coastline and archaeological sites, potentially turning a Pride weekend into a much broader Italian escape.

One of the most distinctive Pride trips comes on 26 September when Aosta Pride takes place in the Aosta Valley. Instead of beaches or Italy’s famous big cities, visitors can combine Pride with mountain scenery and an Alpine break close to the borders with France and Switzerland. Giugliano Pride, near Naples, is also scheduled for the same day.

Italy’s 2026 Pride calendar then stretches into October. Udine FVG Pride is scheduled for 3 October in the northeastern region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, followed by Gravellona VCO Pride on 4 October in Piedmont.

That means travellers still have plenty of choice even after the traditional European summer Pride season has ended.

For anyone planning around a particular Pride, it is worth checking the individual event’s official channels before booking travel or accommodation, as parade routes, meeting points and timings can change.

Italy’s autumn calendar also shows why Pride travel does not have to mean heading exclusively for Rome or Milan. A Pride weekend can become an excuse to discover a smaller Italian city, add a coastal break in Liguria or Sicily, head into the Alps or turn an event around Naples into a longer trip through Campania.

With events continuing into October, there is still time to put an Italian Pride trip on the 2026 travel calendar.
