Is Craig using Amy’s inheritance in EastEnders?
EastEnders’ Craig agrees to leave Walford with Amy, but could her expected inheritance be part of his plan?
Amy Mitchell may believe she has found someone who understands her, but EastEnders viewers have reason to question whether Craig’s intentions are as genuine as they appear.
Craig has been drawing Amy away from her friends and family, demanding her attention and reacting badly when other people get close to her. His jealousy towards Denzel has already had serious consequences, with Craig sending Denzel’s private photographs to Kim and Howie after Amy confronted him.

Now Amy’s expected inheritance adds another complication. She wants to access the money early, while Craig agrees to leave Walford with her. The timing raises an obvious question: is he committed to Amy, or does he see an opportunity to benefit from her circumstances?
There is no confirmation that Craig is targeting Amy for her money, but his behaviour has given viewers plenty of reasons to be suspicious. His attempts to control her relationships and isolate her from the people who care about her are particularly worrying.

One viewer wrote: “The sooner Jack and Phil find out about Craig the better.” That reaction captures the growing frustration around Amy’s situation, with her family still struggling to understand what is really happening.
Jack has already become concerned about Amy’s behaviour, although he has been given the wrong explanation for her difficulties. If he discovers how much influence Craig has over her, he could become determined to intervene.
The inheritance could give Amy more independence, but it could also make her more vulnerable if Craig is trying to control her decisions. The biggest danger may be that Amy mistakes his willingness to leave Walford for proof that he is serious about their future.
Could Craig genuinely want a life with Amy, or is he taking advantage of someone who is already struggling?
