Already frustrated by Tane Parata limiting his access to the gym following the recent break in, Sonny feels as though every step forward is followed by another setback. Trying to enjoy a romantic picnic with Dana, he initially manages to put his worries to one side. The couple make plans to continue their date with a trip to a wine bar in Yabbie Creek, but the afternoon quickly takes a disappointing turn.

As they prepare to leave, Sonny struggles to stay on his feet and has to steady himself with his crutch.

Concerned, Dana asks if he is alright. Although Sonny insists he is fine, he reluctantly admits he needs to rest, forcing them to cancel the rest of their plans.

The following day, Dana heads to work at Northern Districts Hospital, eager to make a good impression on new doctor Amelia Carlisle.
