Home and Away: What’s coming up next week? 27 to 31 July preview

Sonny finds himself in increasing trouble, David takes an important step towards rebuilding his life, Amelia faces a difficult professional decision and several Summer Bay relationships are put to the test. Here’s everything to look out for over the coming week.

Beau turns up the pressure on Sonny as he demands repayment of the money he is owed. Sonny later visits Harper alongside Dana to see baby Archie, but Beau isn’t prepared to let the matter drop and pulls Sonny aside with another warning. The pressure soon begins taking its toll as Sonny attempts a trial shift at Salt, only for his legs to give way, causing him to collapse.

As Sonny struggles, Dana does her best to support him, although she is left in the dark when he later borrows money to pay Beau instead of telling her the full truth about his situation. Sonny’s attempts to keep his problems hidden threaten to make matters even worse.

Elsewhere, Abigail decides to move out of Cash and Eden’s home and stay with Levi and Mackenzie instead. While Abigail settles into her new surroundings, Levi becomes increasingly concerned that Mackenzie is pushing herself too hard following her return to work. Mackenzie, however, insists she is ready to get back to normal and encourages Levi to stop worrying so much.

David also faces a challenging week after Amelia recommends counselling. He secretly attends a session but loses his temper during the appointment, leaving Jo and Lacey concerned when they catch him lying about where he has been. Despite taking the first step towards getting help, David continues to struggle with everything he has been carrying.

Amelia’s concern for David does not go unnoticed. Justin begins wondering whether her feelings are becoming personal, prompting him to share his concerns with Leah. Leah later decides to confront Amelia directly, forcing Amelia to reflect on the professional boundaries she has tried to maintain.

The situation reaches another turning point when Amelia tells David she can no longer continue as his doctor. Her decision leaves David searching for answers, and he later approaches Amelia directly in an attempt to understand why she has made such a difficult choice.

There are also fundraising efforts taking place around the Bay as Mali helps John secure a valuable wedding package donation. The contribution provides a welcome boost and gives the community something positive to focus on amid the week’s other challenges.

Cash and Eden are looking forward to finally enjoying some time alone together, but their plans are disrupted when they arrive home to discover Remi is still there and feeling like a burden. By the end of the week, Eden is furious after learning Remi intends to move out, while Cash tries to understand exactly what has upset her.

Elsewhere, Tane checks in on Jo after hearing about David’s struggles, although Jo completely misreads his text message, creating an awkward misunderstanding.

From Sonny’s collapse and David’s counselling journey to Amelia’s difficult decision, Abigail’s move, Mackenzie’s determination to return to work, Cash and Eden’s interrupted plans and Remi’s uncertain future, Summer Bay is set for another emotional and eventful week.
