Home and Away Tane spots Harper’s bruise as Beau fears grow
Home and Away’s Tane grows alarmed after spotting Harper’s bruise as Beau’s control intensifies and fears for Archie push her towards breaking point.
Tane’s concern for Harper intensifies in Home and Away when he finally notices the bruise on her cheek and realises something is seriously wrong. Harper has been struggling under Beau’s increasingly controlling behaviour, but until now she has been unable to tell Tane what is really happening.
The warning signs begin when Harper receives a message from Tane inviting her to see Archie. Beau is clearly unhappy about the contact, and Harper has to argue that she has barely seen her son in days before he eventually allows her to go.
When Harper arrives, Tane is preparing to run a boot-camp class and immediately senses that she is not herself. He encourages her to stay around for longer, but Beau soon appears and Harper quickly excuses herself rather than risk another confrontation.
Tane later manages to get Harper alone and presses her about why she has spent so little time with Archie. He cannot understand what has changed and wants Harper to explain why she seems to be distancing herself from her son.
Harper is unable to tell him that Beau has been controlling her movements and instead lashes out. She tells Tane to stop complaining and look after his son for once, using anger to shut down the conversation before he can get any closer to the truth.
The situation becomes even more alarming after Dana reveals that Sonny has been dealing steroids with Beau. Harper is overwhelmed by the discovery and begins packing her belongings, clearly desperate to get away before things become even worse.
When Tane arrives at Harper’s doorstep, he finally spots the bruise on her cheek. The visible injury gives him another reason to believe her behaviour is not simply about stress or tension between them.
Tane tries to get Harper to see reason, but she is focused entirely on Archie. Her fear is that Beau could target her son if she does not leave immediately, showing just how dangerous she now believes the situation has become.
For Tane, seeing the bruise could be the moment that changes everything. He has already noticed Harper pulling away from Archie, but now there is a physical sign that something far more serious may be happening behind closed doors.
Harper still cannot fully explain Beau’s hold over her, yet the truth is becoming harder to hide. With Tane finally seeing the injury for himself, Beau’s control may no longer remain invisible to the people closest to her.
